2012-04-18 Gabe Gardner won a gold medal in 2008 after over a decade of training with the US Men’s National Team, and he will share his stories and insights with our current USA Volleyball players in another webinar segment of Olympic medal winning players. His history on persevering from junior and college player, to being cut from the National Team, to the Olympic Games success, secrets to being a great hitter/blocker, favorite quotes, book and experiences will be shared. So will information on his current efforts to make another Olympic roster again for London 2012 while starting a boys’ volleyball program in northern California and working for the USOC’s Athlete Advisory Commission
2012-04-24 Libero Erik Sullivan played for the USA team for years and in two Olympics, and he will share his stories and insights with our current USA Volleyball players in another webinar segment of Olympic volleyball players. After an outstanding college career at UCLA as an outside hitter (winning two national titles), he received the FIVB Worlds Best Libero award one year. He then began giving back to the sport as a collegiate coach since 2004 and is currently an assistant coach at the University of Texas
LONDON – Brent Hayden of Mission, B.C., made history Wednesday as he won the bronze medal in the men’s 100-metre freestyle at the Olympic Games in a race in which less than a second separated the eight finalists.
