Happy Father’s Day! Thanks to all #TeamUSA dads for being such a large part of the team behind the team. Here are just a few of the fathers we’re grateful for:

Katie Uhlaender is grateful for the two father figures she has who represent both worlds her father lived in: http://ow.ly/m51Uv

Jon Lujan Adaptive Alpine Skier has been through some rough times with his daughter, Emily — from being deployed to getting injured. But through thick and thin it’s Jon and Emily against the world: http://ow.ly/m52cT

Four-time Olympian Tony Azevedo recently joined the dads club and just might have a future Olympian on his hands: http://ow.ly/m4Y5C

INA Open 2013: Nothing beats winning at home with the whole stadium cheering for you. Even more, to come out on top against the World no.1 Ko/Lee 21-14 21-18. Congratulations to Ahsan/Setiawan – Men’s Doubles Champions!

INA Open 2013: Everyone knows Juliane Schenk is a fighter, so she was sure to go all out against the World no.1 Li Xuerui. Despite Juliane’s best efforts, the 22 year-old Li stood her ground & secured the win 21-16 18-21 21-17.

Li appreciates a great match, and of course, a great opponent – see her thumbs up for Schenk!

INA Open 2013 marks the 5th title for Lee Chongwei here in Jakarta. It is a tournament of mixed feelings as another close friend of the circuit -Taufik Hidayat – officially retires. Still, we have the memories!

Final score vs. Marc Zwiebler
21-15 21-14

INA Open 2013 Women’s Doubles Champions Bao/Cheng! A score of 15-21 21-18 21-18, these ladies won over last year’s champions Wang/Yu for the crown. It was certainly a fight till the end, and their expressions say it all. Congratulations, ladies.

Hey…wasn’t ment to be! I tried everything I can but I have to accept that LCW is the better player!! I thank him for the fun we had all week and thanks to everyone at home and worldwide for the amazing support!!! Means a lot and I promise to work hard to make this picture reality in the future! :) thanks!! Danke!!!!!

Just to give you an impression of the atmosphere inside the stadium during a ladies doubles match of the first round. Simply incredible!!!

After a rather disappointing week in Jakarta, I am now on my way to Singapore. The mixed doubles performance of Birgit Michels and me was not bad, but we lost to Kurniawan/Irawati (INA) 24:22/16:21/11:21 in the first round. It was a great atmosphere to play in and I really cherish the experience!
Next week in Singapore we have to play current World- and Olympic Champions Zhang/Zhao (China), so it is not going to be easy! Let’a see what we can do…
Auf geht’s Deutschland!!!
INA Open 2013: The Danes showed great determination to make it to the Final by out-playing three Indonesian pairs along the way. Are they ready for the Olympic Champions Zhao/Zhang? It shall be an epic meet!

A tribute to the Indonesian Icon Taufik Hidayat live at Stadium Istora!
INA Open 2013: Setiawan/Ahsan are the only Indonesians on court today. Winning over the Olympic Champions in two sets and then standing ground against the well-performed Russians, they look forward to a roaring match vs. the top Korean MD Lee/Ko. This will be an exciting one for sure!

INA Open 2013: Schenk’s trip to this Final didn’t come easy, having to battle two amazing talents – Tai Tzuying & Saina Nehwal. Now, she takes on the Olympic Champion Li Xuerui. Certainly, she will not go down without a fight. Can’t wait for this match 3rd up!

INA Open 2013: Here’s the play list for today’s Finals. Cheer on your favourites!
