The British Judo Association is delighted to announce the appointment of Kate Howey MBE and Chris Bowles to British Judo’s Elite Coaching Programme.

London 2012 silver medallist Samantha Murray is one of five British athletes set to compete at next week’s Modern Pentathlon World Cup Final in Russia. Murray is joined by world champion Mhairi Spence and Katy Burke in the women’s competition while Joe Evans and Jamie Cooke compete in the men’s event.
Future Paralympic stars will have the chance to be fast-tracked on the road to Rio 2016 thanks to an exciting new initiative launched recently. A partnership between UK Sport, The English Institute of Sport (EIS) and the British Paralympic Association (BPA) has launched Paralympic Potential: Bring on Brazil – the first Paralympic talent identification initiative since London 2012. Competition is intense in Paralympic sport and the search is now on for new talent to prove they have “got what it takes for Rio”, to ensure continued success for ParalympicsGB after the team won a superb 120 medals at London 2012
