<p>The penhold team is the winner of the 2013 Shakehand vs Penhold Challenge. Ma Lin, Wang Hao and Xu Xin were superior to the Skakehand team made up by Zhang Jike, Timo Boll and Dimitrij Ovtcharov. The playing system of the tournament was very curious.
<p>Players had a break after the 2013 China Open. The Chinese team led by the head coach Liu Guoliang, Dimitrij Ovtcharov and Timo Boll were some of the guests to Chen Qi's wedding. The Chinese player married her gilrfriend Lu Wenting, who gave birth to a baby boy in January.</p>

<p>The Men's Doubles of the 2013 China Open ended with an unusual scene, Yan An / Dimitrj Ovtcharov against Ma Long / Timo Boll. Labelled as the formidable pair in the competition, Boll and Ma lived up to the expectation and clinched the title victoriously.
