On Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman Island on Monday morning, arguably the greatest set of female breaststrokers to ever compete in a single open water swim will try their hand in the Flowers Sea Swim 5 km international race. Rebecca Soni (3 gold and 3 silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2012 London Olympics), Megan Jendrick (2 gold and 1 silver at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympics), and Kristy Kowal (1 silver at the 2000 Sydney Olympics) will test themselves in 5 km in the Caribbean. Zara Phillips claimed second at the Luhmuhlen Horse Trials as Andrew Nicholson maintained his lead to win the four-star event in Germany. Phillips, the former world champion and a member of the British quartet that won eventing team silver at last year’s Olympics, was quick and clear on High Kingdom.

The British Olympic Association (BOA) announced today that Lake Placid 1980 Olympic gold medallist Robin Cousins will serve as an official Team GB 2014 Ambassador. Olympic judoka Colin Oates will make a comeback at the 2013 Miami Grand Prix following a serious injury which has seen him out of action since January. Oates will be looking to make up lost ground in the world ranking list at the International Judo Federation (IJF) World Tour event hosted by USA Judo in Florida on 15 and 16 June.
